To create a strong, durable crown, a metal sub-base is often used. These steps are no longer necessary. Even more importantly, the imaging that takes place during the preparation phase leads to optimal fit, which is necessary for long-lasting results.

Instead of standard dental impressions, CEREC technology takes a digital scan of the tooth to be repaired, after all damage has been removed. From this scan, a digital image is created with advanced software, and used by the milling machine to craft a perfectly sized, shaped, and coloured restoration. Within a few hours , the crown, inlay, onlay, or veneer is ready to be evaluated and bonded to the tooth.
