Teeth Whitening

At our practice, we use the KöR whitening system. This teeth whitening system provides amazing, effective results by combining at-home whitening gels and an in-office bleaching session for optimum whitening. When used together, patients can enjoy a brighter smile in just a few weeks. The KöR whitening system can even address permanent stains such as tetracycline staining. This whitening treatment is more effective than over-the-counter solutions and once your whitening splints have been made, then you can continue to touch up your smile yourself, as you feel the need to maintain your white smile.

Orthodontics

We offer full braces as a treatment option to straighten your teeth. This is one of our favourite options to align teeth and preserve tooth structure.

Crowns

Dental crowns are appropriate in situations where patients need to protect broken down or heavily filled teeth. Full crowns are also used to restore dental implants. Crowns are made of porcelain and can be made during the same dental appointment thanks to the CEREC technology available in our practice.

Bridges

Our CEREC machine can also provide patients with same day dental bridges. Bridges are used to replace missing teeth and use the surrounding teeth or implants for support.

Inlays/Onlays

Porcelain inlays and onlays are an option where moderate to large amounts of tooth structure have been lost due to breakage or decay. This is a great solution to preserve tooth structure versus having to go to a full crown. They are made from porcelain using CEREC technology.

Veneers

Porcelain veneers are made to cover the front of natural teeth to hide problems such as staining and breakage.

White Restorations

Our practice focuses on providing mercury free dentistry. When patients arrive at our practice and require treatment for dental decay, we offer white composite resin restorations which are just as strong and enhance your natural smile.

Safe Amalgam Removal Protocol

  • Chlorella drink prior is given prior to treatment and a mouth rinse post-treatment. Chlorella can help bind and prevent mercury absorption.
  • Physical protective barriers - Masks, protective coverings, eyewear, in-mouth non-latex dental dams, and other steps are taken to prevent physical contact with mercury for the patient and staff.
  • Oral evacuation - Generous amounts of water are used to continuously rinse particulate matter from the mouth while suctioning it away. Combined with protective dental dams, this prevents patients from swallowing dental amalgam particles during treatment. Additionally, the rinsing helps lower the temperature of the filling, reducing the amount of mercury vapour released.
  • External air - A continuous supply of non-contaminated air or oxygen is delivered via a mask or similar apparatus, preventing inhalation of mercury vapour or particles.
  • "Chunk it out" method - Rather than using a drill to grind the filling down, it is carefully removed in the largest possible pieces, minimising friction, vaporisation.
  • High Volume Evacuation Suction is used by the dental assistant to remove amalgam particles in the mouth.
  • High Volume Air suction and Air Purifiers are used in the clinical room that is able to remove mercury vapour from the room.
  • Amalgam separator use - This device collects mercury-contaminated waste before it can enter the sewage system, allowing us to dispose of it safely.
