In 1991 the World Health Organization acknowledged that the predominant source of human exposure to mercury is from your fillings. That should be of concern to anyone. So all Mercury silver fillings leak substantial amounts of mercury constantly. The amount increases with any kind of stimulation and as a result mercury from fillings produces the majority of human exposure to mercury. The international academy of oral medicine and toxicology is extremely concerned about the anecdotal claims of safety by manufacturers and dental trade associations. There are at variance with the published peer-reviewed scientific evidence to the contrary. The precautionary principle requires action once the possibility of harm exists. It does not require proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that in the case of heavy metal and as antibiotic exposure is both nearly impossible and unnecessary in our opinion. What you’re seeing is mercury vapour coming off a 25 year old silver amalgam filling. In an extracted tooth the background is a phosphorescent screen. The mercury vapour absorbs the florescent light and you can see it as a shadow on the screen. This is mercury coming off a filling that was dipped in water that’s the same temperature as the human body. This is a filling that was rubbed with a pencil eraser for just a few seconds. Like going to the hygienist and having her clean your teeth these are not small amounts of mercury. If you can see it it’s more than 1,000 times higher than the Environmental Protection Agency will allow for the air that we breathe. What about the last time you went to the dentist and they drilled on your tooth. Here is the mercury vapour every time you raised the temperature to 110 degrees with hot coffee or warm water or even chewed on it. Mercury comes off fillings every time you stimulate them, and that simulation causes the mercury to continue to leak out of the fillings for an hour and a half at a minimum. Some people grind their teeth. Some people chew gum. The dentist might send an old gold crown to the dental lab to be welded. How about the dental personnel. They’re not being given informed consent. Back in 1985 the International Academy oral medicine toxicology set out to determine the amount of mercury that was coming off fillings and here’s the graph, showing substantial quantities of mercury were measured coming off fillings and then we estimated the total dose and then we began animal experiments and put radioactive fillings in sheep. Mercury accumulated in the jaw stomach liver and kidney of the Sheep in just 30 days. Substantial quantities of mercury spread from the fillings to every organ in that sheep’s body. Then they measured that the sheep’s kidneys dropped in their ability by 60% to clear inulin an indication of kidney malfunction. Whole body imaging of monkeys found exactly the same thing. Proponents of amalgam fillings claim that sheep chew too much well. What’s the problem with monkeys? They had mercury in their jaw, kidneys, liver, intestine, and heart, and further research found dis trophic bacteria that were antibiotic resistant cropped up in the intestines within two weeks of receiving these mercury leaking fillings. Further studies have found damage to the ADP-Ribosilation of brain neuron proteins. In response to the controversy and at the request of the federation of experimental scientists and biologists, Doctors Fritz low Scheider and Murray Vimy wrote an editorial. The first ever in facet that point-by-point refuted the claims of the amalgam proponents. That should be of concern to anyone wanting to have healthy children. Because mercury is highly damaging to foetuses. Experiments in sheep showed that mercury from the sheep’s filling is transferred immediately to the placenta to the unborn fetus and to every conceivable portion of the fetuses body. It even increased in the lamb higher after birth from mercury in the mother’s milk. There’s no such thing as a safe mercury filling. All mercury fillings leak mercury. The combined effect of Mercury, Cadmium, and lead is just now being investigated, but it’s not one in one. It’s synergistic and one on one may make 100 or even a thousand. Why is that of concern? Over and over again we’ve heard the children are exposed to lead from our environment. Mercury and Lead is many times more toxic than just mercury alone. These black corroded pitted mercury fillings are used where you must drill away third of the tooth in order to fix a pinhead size cavity. Even if you love mercury it’s the wrong thing to do to the children. It leads to broken, diseased, root canal, extracted teeth throughout the rest of the life. It’s a blunder that costs the child all through their life. Millions and millions of dollars are spent annually fixing teeth again and again, and dentists don’t follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. They pack mercury in children around gold crowns underneath bridges they stuff it around the gum line in contact with tissues. There’s mercury spreading from this gold crown to every tissue in that patient’s body. Even if you like mercury fillings putting that kind of filling in the tooth is simply the wrong thing to do. Harald Loe, the former director of the National Institute of dental research back in 1993, wrote the first filling is a critical step in the life of the tooth. Using amalgam for the first filling requires removing a lot of tooth substance not only disease tooth substance, but healthy tooth substance as well. So in making the under cuts, you sacrifice a lot and this results in a weakened tooth. The next thing you know the tooth breaks off and you need a crown. Then you need to repair the crown and so it continues to the stage where there’s no more to repair and you pull the tooth. With the first filling you should do something that can either restore the tooth or retain more healthy tooth substance. Use new materials composites or materials that can bond to the surface without undercuts. You can do this was little removal of the tooth substance so that the core of the tooth is still there. I would add that the cost of all that dental repair over and over again makes the cost of mercury fillings enormous. Even if you don’t consider the neurological impairment and the brain damage that they surely cause in dental personnel and the infertility and the heartbreak they’ve caused to so many families. It is the opinion of this Academy that responsible government agencies should prohibit the use of these fillings until such time as their manufacturer produced the alleged evidence of safety. These instructions can be found on the webpage of the international academy of oral medicine and toxicology I would recommend that you review them and have your dentist do the same before commencing any procedures involving mercury.

How mercury causes brain neuron degeneration. Mercury has long been known to be a potent neuro toxic substance. Whether it is inhaled or consumed in the diet as a food contaminant. Over the past 15 years medical research laboratories have established that dental amalgam tooth fillings are a major contributor to mercury body burden. In 1997 a team of research scientists demonstrated that mercury vapour inhalation by animals produced a molecular lesion in brain protein metabolism which was similar to a lesion seen in 80% of Alzheimer disease brains. Recently completed experiments by scientists at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Medicine, now reveal with direct visual evidence from brain neuron tissue cultures, how mercury ions actually alter the cell membrane structure of developing neurons. To better understand Mercury’s effect on the brain, let us first illustrate what brain neurons look like and how they grow. In this animation we see three brain neurons growing in a tissue culture each with a central cell body and numerous neurite processes. At the end of each near-light is a growth cone where structural proteins are assembled to form the cell membrane. Two principal proteins involved in growth cone function are actin, which is responsible for the pulsating motion seen here and tubulin a major structural component of the neurite membrane. During normal cell growth tubulin molecules linked together end to end to form microtubules which surround neural fibrils, another structural protein component of the neuronal axon. Shown here is the neurite of a live neuron isolated from snail brain tissue displaying linear growth due to growth cone activity. It is important to know the growth cones in all animal species ranging from snails to humans have identical structural and behavioural characteristics and use proteins of virtually identical composition. In this experiment neurons also isolated from snail brain tissue were grown in culture for several days after which very low concentrations of mercury were added to the culture medium for 20 minutes. Over the next thirty minutes the neurite membrane underwent rapid degeneration, leaving behind the denuded neural fibrous seen here. In contrast other heavy metals added this same concentration such as aluminium, lead, cadmium, and manganese did not produce this effect. To understand how mercury causes this degeneration let us return to our illustration. As mentioned before tubulin proteins link together during normal cell growth to form the microtubules which support the neurites structure. When mercury ions are introduced into the culture medium they infiltrate the cell and bind themselves to newly synthesized tubulin molecules. More specifically the mercury ions attach themselves to the binding site reserved for guanosine triphosphate or GTP on the beta subunit of the affected tubulin molecules since bound GTP normally provides the energy which allows tubulin molecules to attach to one another mercury ions bound to these sites prevent tubulin proteins from linking together. Consequently the neurites microtubules begin to disassemble into free tubulin molecules leaving the neurite stripped of its supporting structure. Ultimately both the developing neurite and its growth cone collapse and some denuded neuro fibrils form aggregates or tangles as depicted here. Shown here is aneroid growth cone stained specifically for tubulin and actin before and after mercury exposure. Note that the mercury has caused disintegration of tubulin microtubule structure. These new findings reveal important visual evidence as to how mercury causes neurodegeneration. More importantly the study provides the first direct evidence that low-level mercury exposure is indeed a precipitating factor that can initiate this neuro degenerative process within the brain.

Hi I’m Doctor Rod Kurthi and I’m the developer of deep bleaching and you’re probably here watching because you’ve heard about deep bleaching maybe you’ve seen about it on the internet, maybe you’ve had friends who’ve had it done you’ve probably already heard that it is the most effective tooth whitening technique ever developed. But I imagine you have a lot of curiosity you have questions you have concerns so I’m going to try and address any possible concern you might have. So it’s going to take me a few minutes sit back relax and let’s get started talking about it. Hi I’m Doctor Rod Kurthi and I’m the developer of deep bleaching. You may be at this website because you’ve heard that deep bleaching is the most effective bleaching technique ever developed. You’re probably watching because maybe you have some concern about bleaching. You want to learn more about bleaching maybe you have some questions about bleaching or maybe specifically it’s about my technique of deep bleaching. I’ve practiced for about thirty years so I pretty much know what your questions are, I know what your concerns are and you’re probably thinking that bleaching is unpredictable, it’s painful, you have to give up drinking your coffee your tea your red wine. It doesn’t last very long so why bother in the first place. Well you’re going to learn today that deep bleaching is an entirely different category all of those concerns are not concerned with deep bleaching and I will address each and every one of them. First let’s take a look at some typical results of deep bleaching. Now I’m going to be going through these very, very, quickly because obviously on a video on a website we don’t have a lot of time. So anytime you want to continue looking at a bleaching case for longer hit your pause button on your video. Now you can see the amazing colour differences. These are typical cases. These are not the unusual ones this is what you typically can expect from deep bleaching. Amazing isn’t it. Now here what I’d like to show you is one of my deep bleaching patients. She’s very close to me because she happens to me my daughter, and these are mock-ups that you’re going to be watching here of posters and things like that for deep bleaching and I want to let you know that she actually had her teeth deep bleached about six years ago and there has been no retouching whatsoever of these pictures these are her natural teeth and we’re going to discuss this in a few minutes. So why does deep bleaching work so well. Well it works well because it restores your tooths ability to absorb oxygen from the bleaching gel. This is what whitens the tooth. As a teenager your teeth are incredibly absorbent of oxygen. As you get older oxygen will not penetrate your teeth nearly as well. That’s why my daughter’s teeth you just looked at are so beautifully white is because we did deep bleaching when she was a teenager. Absolutely amazing. And they will stay that way the rest of her life. What happens is oxygen that is given off by the bleaching gels will penetrate into the tooth and with deep bleaching they will be able to penetrate deeply into the tooth. Not only deeply into the tooth but deeply into the individual crystals thereby really making, making, a huge improvement. With any bleaching what happens is that the oxygen that gets into the teeth breaks up long-chain stained molecules. A long-chain stain molecule will reflect light as a darkness. A short chain molecule will reflect it as a lightness. So when the oxygen breaks up the long-chain molecules, your teeth get, get, lighter. Let’s take a look at another case absolutely amazing result. Now one of your questions is how long does it last? How long does deep bleaching last? Well again I mentioned that deep bleaching is, is, the most effective tooth whitening technique ever developed. It is so profound, so, so effective that it is a permanent technique as long as you perform a very simple maintenance at home. You will be 90 years old walking around with your cane and your teeth will still be the same colour. Absolutely amazing. Let’s take a look at another case here. Just look at the amazing result. Another question that you have is is bleaching safe? Well bleaching has been performed on millions and millions of patients without problems. It’s been shown to be totally safe for teeth and gums. I have clinically tested and developed bleaching system products for my deep bleaching for the last four years, and we have developed products that work specifically with the Deep bleaching technique. They have the proper physical properties, the, the, the, proper viscosities, proper solubilities, all this has in effect. We’ve also developed a system that’s low in sensitivity. So overall everything considered. Yes it’s amazing that we can get such amazing changes in the tooth colour with absolute safety. Now let’s take a look at another case here. Again just imagine that you talk about happy people. With other techniques you’re not typically going to see this type of a result know that another question that you have is regarding discomfort from bleaching. You’ve heard about it maybe you’ve experienced it yourself. In certain cases it can be quite severe. Well that is the main reason why I’ve spent so much time trying to develop a product that causes little sensitivity, and we’ve done. It and it is very, very, amazing what I found in my clinical testing is that 2 out of every 3 people experience no sensitivity and the one out of 3 people that do experience sensitivity have told me that they have only experienced no more than 10 percent. How do they know this? Well in the testing. We do what’s called split arch testing. We do one thing on one side of the mouth, one thing on the other side of the mouth. So when other typical bleaching products are used on the left side and our test products were used on the right side it was very easy for patients to compare what they felt on one side with the other. So you’re, you’re, probably saying gee this means I can absolutely have my teeth bleached with no discomfort, and my answer would be probably so. However I don’t want to mislead anybody. You still may have a little bit of sensitivity and there are those very, very, rare cases where some people will have for instance over-the-counter white strips that they’ll place on their teeth and after only three minutes they’re in tremendous pain. Well if you only had 10% of that but yet you were bleaching very, very, thoroughly, you’re still going to have some discomfort. So chances are you’re not going to have any even if you’ve had discomfort before but if you are one of those extremely rare cases, the good news is that there is likely no other technique that you could bleach whatsoever. So with other techniques you might not be able to bleach at all. Whereas with our new deep bleaching products, you may experience a little bit of discomfort your dentist would alter the program to fit it to your needs, but you will be able to get your teeth whitened even if you are one of those extreme rare cases. Now what you’re looking at now is an electron microscopic photograph of the surface of a tooth. Now the little holes that you see are not just holes they’re tunnels, and they lead from the outside of a tooth all the way to the nerve. Now if you look at the two that have red arrows pointing to them these are open. And that means that this can create sensitivity. But now look at the ones that are plugged up the ones the blue arrows point to. That is the way your tooth normally should appear. All of these holes all of these tunnels should be plugged up like that. Well typically when you bleach the bleach cleans the teeth so thoroughly that it cleans these little plugs out and that’s why people experience sensitivity. Well with our new system the desensitizers that we have artificially plug up these holes and it is very very effective. Now another question you might be asking is what about age. How young can we bleach, how old can we bleach. Well the younger we get to the teeth the better. Age 14 is ideal. The baby teeth have fallen out, the permanent teeth have come into the mouth, the, the, patient is still very young and you get an unbelievable result just like you saw on the photos of my daughter. The younger tooth is the better it absorbs oxygen, and when you combine that with the deep bleaching technique, wow you get a brilliant, brilliant, result that will last an entire lifetime with proper maintenance. Old teeth on the other hand are very, very, difficult G even starting in your 40s and 50s it starts to become a lot more difficult, and when you’re in your 60s and 70s well many dentists just won’t even attempt bleaching teeth on patients that age. Deep bleaching is different it rejuvenates the teeth and makes them respond as they would have at a much, much, younger age, and so even if you are 85 years old you’re still going to be able to get a brilliant result. Absolutely beautiful. Now let’s take a look at another case. Look at that look how gorgeous the after picture is on that. Just beautiful. I’m sure another question that you have is how white will your teeth get. Well we really don’t know for sure but what we can say is that it will be a major colour change with deep bleaching. Deep bleaching is the most effective technique ever developed. In fact it is the only recognized technique that will even bleach tetracycline stain teeth within a short period of time. This was previously thought to be impossible tetracycline is an antibiotic that when taken when young teenager or younger sometimes even in the early 20s, can permanently stain the teeth and it can be bad. You’re going to be seeing some pictures coming up of some very amazing cases. So it is the most effective technique ever developed. It is beyond comprehension so let’s take a look at one of these cases. The case you’re looking at right now is a tetracycline stain. Look at the enormous difference between the before picture and the after. Again no one ever thought that this was even possible before deep bleaching. If it can do this on a tetracycline stain case you can imagine what deep bleaching is capable of on just a typical bleaching case. Take a look here. This is a patient that has a bit different of a presentation of tetracycline staining. This is what we would call a banded case and it all has to do with how frequently the the patient took tetracycline what dosages they took, what ages how much time there was in between taking tetracycline, but this patient had a definite dark band across the, the, middle of the teeth and an overall gray appearance. Look at the result isn’t that amazing. Now this case right here is courtesy of Doctor Howard Goldstein. This was his first Deep bleaching case. What you’re looking at is upper teeth that had veneers porcelain veneers placed over them to hide the, the, tetracycline staining. This patient preferred not to have veneers placed on the lower teeth. So Doctor Goldstein decided to try deep bleaching as his very first case and look at the tremendous effect that he had on those lower teeth. Now here’s another patient with tetracycline stains. Just look at the before and after. Absolutely amazing. There’s a close-up of it right there. Now if you look carefully on the before picture, what you’re going to see is somewhat of a grey band across the middle of the teeth. It’s totally gone after we were done. Now here is another tetracycline case. This is by Doctor Steven glass. This patient again a typical banded tetracycline case and again this is a typical case that dentists would have never attempted bleaching because they would have known that it would have no effect. Deep bleaching obviously you see the result. Now this may be one of the worst cases I’ve ever seen. This patient was obviously very distraught. Doctor Mick is the dentist who performed the deep bleaching. This was Doctor Mick’s first deep bleaching case. Just imagine the change in this patient’s life. Now in the after photo you see some dark little areas there. Those are old fillings, and that’s something that you need to be aware of that any fillings that you have any porcelain that you have that shows will not bleach and so after bleaching you’ll have to have those redone, but if it’s minimal like these are it’s not a big deal.

Okay now tetracycline cases are not the only difficult cases there are other types of very difficult cases one as I mentioned is age-related typically older individuals are said to have bleaching resistant cases and deep bleaching rejuvenates the teeth and, and, makes it so that we’re still able to get a magnificent result. Now take a look at this 79 year old patient. Look at the before and after. Again dentists never thought that it was possible to bleach in a situation like that. Now take a look this patient. Was 78 years old an absolutely amazing result. Another difficult case would be a congenitally dark case or what we call fluorosis with brown spots. Now take a look here. Now this is your typical brown spot type of a case and just look at the huge difference from before bleaching to after. And by comparison here is another typical case. Look at the beautiful result. Another question you have is what will your teeth look like afterwards, will they be natural-looking. The answer is yes. They will now you may have seen people with ultra-white teeth that looked opaque and very false looking. Well that’s because they were false. They were probably either denture teeth or porcelain crowns or caps or porcelain veneers and these were probably restorations that were made too white too opaque and therefore fake looking. Natural teeth cannot look anything but natural. So no matter how white your teeth get, as long as their natural teeth, all they look is beautifully white. Not fake in the least. Now the picture you’re looking at right now is a picture that’s very important to me, because this happens to be a before-and-after photograph of my own teeth. My teeth were deep bleached six years ago, actually over six years ago. Now take a look at the porcelain shade tab in the top picture, and you see where it says C4 on that, and then on the bottom picture you’ll see where it says c4 again. So I would like to show you what my teeth look like today. So what I’m going to do is, I’m going to ask the cameraman to zoom in and I have that same c4 tab here so that six and a half years later you can see what my teeth bleached with deep bleaching look like today. Are we ready? Okay. Pretty amazing isn’t it, and that’s after lots and lots of red wine coffee tea you name it I love to eat so and there’s nothing there’s no doubt about that. So anyway here take a look at photographs. Now the first one that you’re seeing on the left was me in 1992. Look at those dark teeth. I’ll tell you even when I was in grade school kids used to tease me about my dark teeth I had congenitally dark teeth, and I’m not proud to say that I gave that to my son. I hate this genetic stuff you have no control over it, but of course I’ve been able to bleach my son’s teeth also but there you see me then in 2003 which was at least a year or two after I had deep bleached my teeth. Quite a difference isn’t it. Before bleaching my teeth I really felt funny about smiling wide for cameras, for photographs, well as you can see on these photographs now I don’t have to worry any longer. So here is another typical case. Just absolutely beautiful result. So as I mentioned, it’s important that you understand that if you have any dental work on your front teeth after bleaching not just deep bleaching but any bleaching be aware that if you’ve had a big result that the synthetic restorations the fillings any porcelain work will not whiten. So you will need to redo that and if you have a significant amount of work that’s been done on your front teeth you might decide not to bleach. If you’ve only had a little bit it’s not a big deal. You just have it redone after the bleaching. Now take a look at this case. You’ll notice that on one of the patient’s upper left front teeth which would be on your right hand side, she had a porcelain crown and you can see on the after visit when she was done that the porcelain crown was much, much, darker and of course we redid that afterwards and you know to the point where it matches perfectly and this patient is thrilled and it wasn’t a big deal to just replace one crown, and I’m sure another question that you have is will you have to give up your staining foods to maintain the colour whiteness. The answer is no. You don’t have to change your diet. Deep bleaching is so effective that with simple periodic at home maintenance it is entirely permanent. You can continue drinking your red wine, your coffee, your tea, whatever you don’t have to change anything and let’s take a look at another case. Before and after very, very, typical, another question that you might have another concern you might have is whether or not the bleaching trays the deep bleaching trays will be comfortable to sleep with. Many people have a concern that they might be uncomfortable preventing them from sleeping or that they might be swallowing lots and lots of the bleaching gel. No it’s not a problem with deep bleaching. The trays are extremely thin and form-fitting. You can barely feel that they’re in your mouth. In fact most people wake up in the morning forgetting that they’re still in the mouth. That’s how comfortable they are. By sealing the bleach in and sealing the saliva out which is what deep bleaching trays do, this allows a full night worth of oxygen to penetrate deeper and deeper and deeper into the tooth, thereby giving you the huge colour change that we see with deep bleaching. The other thing is that by wearing the trays at night while you sleep, there’s no interruption of your busy day whatsoever. They’re so comfortable it does not disrupt your sleep, you don’t have to schedule any particular time to wear the trays. So let’s take a look. So now what you are seeing here is the deep bleaching tray in a patient’s mouth. You can see how comfortable that is. It fits absolutely beautifully, and if you look at the red arrows, it points to the edges that seal against the tooth. This keeps your saliva from getting under the trays and it keeps the bleach in and with the products that I’ve developed with the specific physical properties of viscosity and the appropriate amount of in solubility, we have an enormous result. So now let’s talk about the steps of deep bleaching. First thing you’re going to do is have an examination with your dentist, and then your dental office staff is going to take some moulds or we call them impressions of your teeth. It’s similar to the moulds that we would be taken at an orthodontist office except they’re more precise. Then the very exacting deep bleaching trays that we’ve discussed are then fabricated just for your teeth. On your first visit with the trays in the dental office, what will happen is your dentist will apply bleaching gel, a specific type of bleaching gel, into the tray that will be applied to your teeth there in the office. Now don’t expect to see any whiteness from this. This step is a conditioning step. What it does is it helps rejuvenate your teeth so that the bleaching you do at home is even more effective. So don’t expect to see any, any, change as far as colour from that. Then what’s going to happen is your dentist is going to give you an at-home kit that you’ll take with you. You’ll have your trays your d bleaching trays you’ll have bleaching gel and you’ll have desensitizer that you will apply yourself at home every day. Now when you come back to the dental office, after 14 nights, you’re going to already be amazed at how white your teeth have gotten, and in fact you may ask your dentist wow my teeth are so white now they’re going to get even whiter and your dentist will smile and say ah you ain’t seen nothing yet. Because on that final visit we’re going to get the icing on the cake that final explosion of beautiful colour. Now when you’re done with your final visit then you will go into a maintenance phase and periodically you will wear your, your, deep bleaching trays just one night at a time at home and going to see how very, very, simple this is, and your dentist will custom tailor your maintenance program just specifically for you, and as long as you follow this very , very simple program, your teeth will remain the same beautiful colour for your entire life, and here we see another case done by Doctor Seth Debris in Georgia. Absolutely amazing result. Now typically people with red hair and freckles have a much more difficult time bleaching their teeth. They tend to have more sensitivity, and their teeth are more resistant to whitening, but just look at the, the, result that he was able to get. Well you’re probably wondering about cost. Is deep bleaching more expensive than other techniques. Absolutely it is it’s not in the same ballpark with other techniques as far as effectiveness. It’s the most effective technique ever developed.
